Fall in Fargo-Moorhead
The fall-colored leaves are mostly off the trees and the air is a little crisper in Fargo-Moorhead these days. You might start to think about nice warm sweaters, apple cider, pumpkins….and Halloween. This coming weekend is “Halloween weekend” and the F-M area has a variety of activities and events to celebrate the season.
Here are a few ideas…
1.) Buffalo River Pumpkin Patch
What: Petting zoo, horse-drawn rides, pumpkin patch, game area, straw maze, Old McDonald barrel cars & more
When: October 26-28; Friday 3-6pm; Saturday & Sunday 10am-6pm
Where: 1447 Hwy 10, Glyndon
Cost: Gate fee $4/person; children age 1 and under free; horse-drawn rides, animal barn, and barrel car rides require additional tickets
2.) Pumpkin Patch (Dakota Carriage)
What: Pumpkin patch, horse-drawn rides, petting zoo, bale maze, corn maze, barrel trail rides, mini golf, cow milking, campfire, ghost walk through the woods, house of mirrors
When: October 27-28; Saturday 11am-5pm; Sunday 1-5pm
Where: 7414 40th Ave N, Fargo
Cost: Gate admission $9 (includes a pumpkin); $6 (without a pumpkin); children age 1 and under are free
3.) Boo at the Zoo
What: Trick-or-treat through the zoo, creepy crawly critter cart, cockroach races, costume contest, pumpkin carving & more
When: Saturday, October 27 10am-5pm
Where: Red River Zoo, 4255 23rd Ave S, Fargo
Cost: Regular admission–Members & children under age 2: FREE; Children ages 2-14: $5.75; Adults: $8.75; Seniors: $7.75
4.) Not Too Scary Haunted House (Yunker Farm)
What: A haunted house that’s not too scary, creepy crafts, “cranky” critters & more
When: Saturday, October 27 10am-5pm
Where: Children’s Museum at Yunker Farm, 1201 28th Ave N, Fargo
Cost: $5/person; Members: FREE
5.) Trio of Terror
What: Haunted Farm, Extreme Scream & Haunted Corn Maze
When: Haunted Farm: October 25-31 7-11pm; Extreme Scream: October 26-27 7-midnight, October 28 7-10pm; Haunted Corn Maze: October 25-28 7-11pm
