Fargo Theatre – Keeping Music And Movies Alive In Downtown

Fargo Theatre

You know how some places just have those great iconic places in the community? They are often photographed by both locals and visitors alike. For Fargo-Moorhead, the Fargo Theatre is one of those iconic places.  Located in the heart of downtown Fargo, this art deco movie theatre was built in 1926 and later restored in 1999. Now days, the theatre brings some of the best independent and art films to the region. The Fargo Film Festival happens every March and has had international success with both film lovers and film makers.

Currently, the Fargo Theatre is hosting “Kid’s Flicks” during the month of June and July. All seats are three dollars and they are showing anything kid friendly from “The Lorax” to “The Goonies”. If you arrive early to a movie you might even catch The Mighty Wurlitzer being played by one of their in house organists!

The Fargo Theatre is also a premier music venue. They have a number of concerts to look forward to in the upcoming months.  Tonight is John Reilly & Friends and July offers a jam packed month of shows to look forward to, including Ronnie Milsap and Mary Chapin Carpenter.
