This Saturday enjoy the day in Fargo-Moorhead at the St. Paddy’s Day Parade and 5K. This event has been getting better and better every year. This year is no different! 2 events have merged into one. We have the 5k run, and the parade happening at the same time! So needless to say, downtown Fargo-Moorhead is going to BUSY!
It all kicks off at 3pm with the start of the 5k race on Broadway and once the runners get going, the parade follows immediately after. The parade route shoots straight north on Broadway. If you want a good seat…head to Broadway. The parade route will run north up to about 6th Ave. North. Short, sweet and sure to be a lot of fun.
For those of you who are interested in a nice run, the 5K run starts at 3pm with a kids run starting a bit earlier at 2:40. You can register for the run at Great Northern Cycle or online. You can check out the route here. As I mentioned earlier, the runners lead the way for the parade so it is going to be hopping!
Of course all of the downtown shops, restaurants, bars and entertainment venues will be open for business and I am sure you won’t have a hard time finding a green beer or two. Either way, this event is just plain fun…good times in a great historic area of Fargo-Moorhead. I hope you plan on showing up…the more that show up the better the time there will be to be had.
Heading to the parade? Running in the race? If so, please share your experience on the Facebook Page for Fargo-Moorhead! See you there!
