This coming Saturday (February 18th) is the Fifteenth Annual Celebration of Women and Their Music. I’m not sure how I was unaware of this event until just this week since Deb Jenkins founded it in 1998. The title of the event gives you a pretty good idea of what it’s all about, but here is a quick summary….
Several regional women performing music from various genres gather under one roof for an evening of music and inspiration. The event is not-for-profit and the money received from this event goes to a good cause—the continuing of this event and an endowment fund that helps young female artists continue their education. I briefly listened to some music by a couple of the artists that will be performing at this event and it sounds like it will be a quite enjoyable evening!
Also, this year a wine tasting will be held at ecce art + yoga from 4:00-6:15pm prior to the show.
